Take a behind-the-scenes peek into the villages
You can now experience colourful village life through stories told by a local storyteller, on-site or digitally. A free mobile application is available to take you on a journey into our cultural history. Three municipalities play host to Lapland Village Stories: Kemijärvi, Pelkosenniemi and Sodankylä.
You can watch village stories on video through the Lapland Village Stories mobile app. Once you’ve downloaded the free app to your phone, you can explore the stories offline and experience them on-site in the villages. Take a look at the villages’ service offerings and other attractions at the same time.
